I have sound problem in my laptop?

Actually i am bored with this problem from the very begining with this laptop. My problem is when I listen to internal audio or to external speakers i need to follow these steps to get sound from my laptop. right click sound icon-then sounds- then playback- then enable and disable internal ATAPI jack or external rear panal jack. I want to get rid of this process. Can anyone help me please. Also while running driver detective i found 3 of the drivers are out of date. among them one is related to sound which is High Definition Audio Device. I tried to update online it but computer says it is up to date. It is still working but I have to follow those steps to get sound. can anyone tell me how can i get automatic sound. many thanks. Compter specifiations: Toshiba L30, Windows vista basic. processor: intel celeron M.

right click on Computer and chose properties, then Device manager.
find your sound card and manufacturer and go to manufacturers web site and download the newer driver and install it. it may work fine.
also you may have some settings on the soundcard’s driver that makes the process automatically.
