Are flat screen Tashiba HD ready TV’s repairable?
My TV is only 4 years old. After warming up and being on for a few hours the picture gets covered with green and black speckles until the picture cannot be seen.
I called a local TV repair shop, the repairman did not sound like he knew how to fix this problem. He told me a house call will be $55.00, then admitted it cannot be fixed at my home. He did not sound like he knew how to fix this kind of TV.
Are these TV’s repairable. If so, where?
Yes they are repairable, and I have seen the same problem with an LG unit this week…..
He needs to take it to his shop, and it’s most likely the Main signal processing board…..
Not the power supply….not the Backlight Drive board…
You do need to see if the repairman has access to Toshiba parts….and most likely anybody has access to Toshiba parts, even if they are not an authorized Warranty servicer….
We can get parts, and we are not the local Warranty repair station for Toshiba.
